Frequently Asked Questions
When do virtual congregation meetings begin?
The first virtual meeting for the Houma Airport congregation will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at 10:00 AM CST. Each weekly meeting will proceed thereafter, as normally scheduled, until further notice.
What should I wear to the virtual meeting?
Our dress and grooming for virtual congregation meetings should be held to the same standard as in-person congregation meetings held at the Kingdom Hall. If you have any questions, please contact your Field Service Group Overseer.
Do I have to turn on my camera?
No. If you don't feel comfortable turning on your camera during meetings, you are not required to. However, one of the goals with virtual online meetings is to provide everyone with the ability to see each other.
Can each family member connect to virtual meetings individually?
While each family member can connect to virtual meetings individually using separate devices, there are limitations on the number of connections to Zoom meetings. In an effort to ensure that everyone in the congregation can access each meeting, you may opt to connect as a family using a single device.
Where can I get help connecting to the meeting?
If you are experiencing technical issues downloading/operating Zoom, or connecting to virtual weekly meetings, please contact your Field Service Group Overseer for assistance.
